I never liked the Daily News, but here's just one more reason: http://www.nydailynews.com/2000-10-03/News_and_Views/Beyond_the_City/a-82575.asp |

Kim, Can you believe that piece of journalistic crap? I posted a comment in their forum. Unfortunately, they only allow so many words, so I wasn't able to point out all of the lies. I wish my original post had been allowed-lots of sarcasm. Anyway, I've had it with these so-called writers! Can't wait till this nonsense is over. |

Well, yeah, you know--it's that *loner* Nader's fault...you know, that guy who's been living on a mountaintop these past decades, like not having any *contact* with people. You know: people--like writers for the NY Daily News, fr' instance. Really...if he just hadn't been so standoffish, he could have had his own party and all. The things you learn from reading the media. |

Kim, Kim Since most people who read the Daily News only look at the pictures, or at best read half the article, I think the author has inadvertently done Nader a service by describing him as, "one who has inspired an idealistic army of young consumers, environmentalists, and corporate watchdogs". Most readers won't make it to the end of the article in their search for the sports section. So I think we're O.K. |

Thanks Kim. I got mad. It's easy to pile on - you don't even have to register for this forum. I had to shorten my message lots, so maybe others can say what I didn't. |

Hell, kim, that article makes me mad and I'm still 'undecided' (formally in the gore column until I went to the seattle greens/nader rally.) The 'journalist' (and I use that term loosely) says about the 15% mark, "Perot did it" but fails to acknowledge how many millions of dollars of his own money that Perot had to spend on TV ads to get to that point. Sheesh. That writer needs to spend a lot more time at www.get-a-clue.com |
