| Author | Topic: Why have the news posts slowed down? |

I want to say thanks to the Web Site managers for posting the many news items that are posted. I have noticed that in the last few weeks the posts have slowed down. Come now are you guys believing the line about Nader's Campaign fading? :-) |

Let's hope it is because available resources are being directed in more urgent directions; of course, it could also be due to the fact that since the corporate media have decided Ralph is no longer a real threat to the Toxic Twins (we'll see about that!), there are fewer articles to post. Remember, most media is the voice of corporate power--even a quick examination of who sits on their editorial boards (and what other boards they sit on!) reveals the real agenda of what is blandly referred to as "the mainstream media." |

A suggestion: since news articles are apparently not being updated (at least, not with any regularity anymore) why not have at least *one* box or location on the site entitled something like "Where's Ralph?" that gives us a few sentences, day by day, about where Ralph is campaigning and what he is doing. |

Before I knew of the Green Party Nader site or the Official Nader site, I would always search yahoo news about for recent articles about Nader. Hope that feeds your hunger. |

News about the Nader campaign should be the main priority of this sight!!!!! |

Yes, it *is* quite noticeable how the site had previously been updated daily or nearly so...and then, around the 7th of this month, that stopped. It is also odd (and, in my opinion, unfortunate) that there has been no announcement of any kind about why this change has taken place. Of course, this is not a site run by the campaign per se, but I would think they have a strong investment in what goes on here. Well, it's a mystery that we can't solve--let's hope the site is not moribund from now until the election. |

There have been no news links since september 6, 2000- very strange as Nader is all over the place. Use the New York Times search and other search vehicles and youwill see what I mean. Thanks. |

Hi all- I'm assuming this site is just run by some concerned citizen. I think the site is great. I also wish it was updated more frequently. However, this person/people obviously invested a lot of time in creating it in the first place. I'm thankful for that. These forums alone are invaluable. I'm sure the person/people responsible are doing their best to maintain the site. We don't know what's going on in their lives right now, so I at least, don't feel I have the right to ask for anything more than they've already done. |

It is kind of strange that the site abruptly stopped the updates. It may be the webmaster is part of Nader's entourage. Since Nader's like tripled his efforts according to the "Ralph on the Road" link, the webmaster is taking care of many other details. Who really knows? But since I have access to Lexis-Nexis, I decided to post news updates to the "Ralph Nader for President" forum until the news continued. Perhaps we can all be "public citizens" and add the latest news and information as soon as we hear it. Do you know what? Sometimes I compare Ralph Nader to rap music. Why? Because in the early 80s, people kept saying that rap was not going to last. It wasn't real music. People didn't understand it. They didn't like it because it was not mainstream. People said it was a passing trend, or a fad. Rap could not find publicity on any of the major music channels like MTV, VH1, and even BET. It remained underground for several years. Now who does THAT sound like? And then, something crazy happened! Rap finally caught on and EXPLODED! Rap was used to sell hamburgers and clothes and Barbie Dolls. The fringe became the mainstream. That is why I do not believe people when they say, "The Greens should just go away. They're crazy. Ralph can't win." I'VE HEARD THAT BEFORE! The Green platform is rapidly becoming mainstream via Al Gore's appropriation of Ralph's stance on the issues. Ralph Nader is DJ KOOL HERC and Al Gore is VANILLA ICE (the most phony rapper ever...well...if you don't count MC Hammer! HA! |

I collected some news articles while Nader2000.org was diverted. It's about 80K worth. Respond to and I'll send what I have |
